Secretary

Nicole Woitel

I am the Secretary for POSA and am grateful for the opportunity to be on the board. Volunteering with POSA allows me to stay involved in my community while setting an example for my boys. Growing up, I never had the opportunity to play club sports or get involved in organized athletics. That’s why I’m so passionate about ensuring my kids—and others in the community—have those chances I didn’t. I want to be the kind of role model who encourages participation, teamwork, and striving for something greater.

My name is Nicole Woitel, and I’m proud to call the Pacific Northwest my home. Originally from Colorado, I’ve been living in beautiful North Idaho since 2007. In January of 2020, my husband and I took an exciting step and purchased our first home in Newport, where we’ve been building our life together with our two amazing boys. Being a mom is one of the greatest joys in my life. As a family, we spend as much time outdoors as we can, soaking in the beauty of nature and creating lasting memories. Whether it’s playing at the park, splashing around at the splash pad, walking the trails, swimming in the river, or riding jet skis, we are always looking for new ways to enjoy the world around us.

Professionally, I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance, and while that was an incredible learning experience, I found my true calling in the insurance industry. I worked on the carrier side for 6 years and I currently work for a fast-growing brokerage firm as an Account Manager, and I genuinely love what I do. Insurance may not be everyone’s passion, but for me, it’s fascinating, and I enjoy being part of an industry that helps people protect what matters most.

In addition to work and family, volleyball has always been one of my favorite pastimes. I join the open gyms hosted by POSA (Pend Oreille Sports Association). I also pick up other oppeortunities from time to time like coaching Soccer or Little Sluggers. I’ve coached 2 seasons of Soccer and 1 season of Sluggers so far since I’ve joined POSA. I love having the opportunity to coach my kids and get to know other kiddos/parents of their age group.

Balancing work, motherhood, volunteering, and personal passions is never easy, but it’s deeply rewarding. Every day, I aim to show my children the importance of hard work, giving back, and never being afraid to pursue what you love. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I look forward to what lies ahead—more growth, more adventures, and more memories with the people who matter most.
