I have lived in Newport, WA, since 2022.  After growing up in Wenatchee, I joined the military and moved around to a variety of locations.  When I felt it was time to come home to Washington State, I decided to settle in Newport because I loved the feel of the community and wanted to be near my family. My kids started playing POSA sports right away and it was wonderful to watch them play sports and see them begin to feel a part of our new community. Once I started substitute teaching for Newport School District, I began to get to know the kids in our program, on and off the field.

I love volunteering with POSA because I see what a positive impact POSA has made on my family and I want to help create that experience for others in our community.
